Jaguar XE helps score best-ever July sales
A 34% year-on-year increase in sales saw 44,486 units shipped by Jaguar Land Rover as a whole, taking the total for the year so far to 336,052, an increase of 23%.
Within this, the Jaguar brand – including cars like the Jaguar XE – saw the greater increase at 91% in July, with over 13,000 units shipping, while Land Rover branded vehicles posted a still-healthy 19% gain.
Andy Goss, group sales operations director for Jaguar Land Rover, said: “This has been another record month for Jaguar Land Rover with impressive sales across both of our brands.
“The Discovery Sport and the Jaguar XE have delivered record July sales performances and the Jaguar F-PACE is in popular demand with our customers, reflecting the global appeal of our strongest ever vehicle line up.”
The Jaguar XE delivers a quiet ride thanks to Autins acoustic insulation in its underbody, shutting out unwanted engine and exhaust vibrations, as well as road noise.
At the recent Autocar Awards 2016, this was recognised as the XE was named a Game Changer and praised for having “redefined the handling benchmark” by Autocar editorial director Jim Holder.
