AUT-INS™ K-Series Foils

The AUT-INS™ K-Series Foils range from 80µ micro-perforated Aluminium to 1mm thick Glass Fibre based shielding materials.  The range of products are usually used in combination with other AUT-INS™ products to increase their thermal capabilities.  The new Micro-perforated Aluminum foils are available from 80µ to 300µ and are completely tailored to suit your NVH requirements by changing the perforation structure which affects the airflow of the product

Typical application areas

Engine bay, engine covers, plenum areas, undertrays, turbo thermal insulation, exhaust insulation and most high temperature areas

Material Characteristics

  • Weight: Ranging from 150g/m² to 700 g/m² - more weights available
  • Thickness: Ranging from 80µ to 1mm – more thicknesses available
  • Composition: Mostly Aluminium and Glass Fiber Based, stainless steels available
  • Colour: Silver and Beige
  • Flammability: Meets FMVSS 302
  • Typical temperature stability: 250°C – higher temperatures are available upto 650°C
