AUT-INS™ H-Series Cover Materials

AUT-INS™ H-Series cover materials can provide two key roles within a product.  Firstly they control the airflow of the material which focuses the products peak absorption frequency range.  Along with this (in combination with our class leading cut and seal processes) they provide  protection against engine bay fluids.  Sometimes, however an AUT-INS™ H-Series cover material is simply used for its aesthetic purposes for example to cover the face of a white material with a dark coloured cover material so it cannot be seen through speaker grilles.

Material Characteristics

  • Weight: Ranging from 40g/m² to 120 g/m² - more weights available
  • Thickness: Ranging from 0.5mm to 1mm – more thicknesses available
  • Composition: Predominantly polyesters fibres
  • Colour: White, black and grey
  • Flammability: Meets FMVSS 302
  • Typical temperature stability: 120°C – higher temperatures are available upto 230°C

  • Meets Engine Bay Specifications When Edge Sealed
  • Some of the range can be used for stiffening layers
