AUT-INS™ A-Series Polyesters
AUT-INS A-Series polyester products are manufactured to meet the high demands of the automotive market. As well as standard products these polyesters are available with fine fibres which improve the acoustic performance of the material. Produced predominantly from 100% virgin polyester fibres, they are thermobonded to improve the integrity of the fibre structure.
Typical application areas
Interior trim including instrument panels, doors, pillars, headlinings and luggage sides. Also suitable engine bay and bulkhead insulation.
Material Characteristics
- Weight: Ranging from 200g/m² to 1400 g/m² - more weights available (Tested to ISO 9073-1)
- Thickness: Ranging from 5mm to 50mm – more thicknesses available (Tested to ISO 9073-2)
- Composition: Predominantly 100% virgin polyester fibres
- Colour: White and Charcoal webs with various scrim options
- Flammability: Meets FMVSS 302
- Typical temperature stability: 90°C to 120°C – higher temperature products are available
